Q: Can Chiropractic help my problem?
A: Chiropractic has helped millions of people naturally with numerous ailments. Some of which are low back pain, neck pain, mid-back pain, headaches, migraines, numbness or tingling in the extremities, leg or arm pain, foot/knee/shoulder/elbow pain, and many others. You never know if it can help unless you give Chiropractic a try.
Q: I have arthritis and degenerative discs; can I still see a Chiropractor?
A: Chiropractic can effectively reduce symptoms experienced by arthritis, and can also reduce any further degeneration by increasing mobility in the problem areas.
Q: Will my insurance cover Chiropractic?
A: Most Insurances cover Chiropractic care. See the insurance page on this site for further information.
Q: My Medical Doctor says that Chiropractors are Quacks or that it won't help; what gives?
A: "We Mock What We Don't Understand" is a great quote in this case. Many medical professionals are not educated about Chiropractic and only repeat what colleagues or peers have stated. Chiropractic has made an enormous impact on health care, and this has irritated many who oppose it. Our office receives many referrals from medical practitioners.
Q: How can Chiropractic help me?
A: Chiropractic aims at removing interference of the nervous system through specific adjustments. Once this interference has been removed than your body can function the way in which it was intended. All of this will be explained at your consultation so that it all makes sense.
Q: Will the adjustments hurt?
A: Chiropractic adjustments should not hurt if administered correctly and gently. At first, most patients will actually say that it doesn't hurt it just startles them because they are so nervous. After just a few adjustments most patients learn to relax and enjoy the healing that's taking place.
Q: Is that my bones popping during an adjustment?
A: No, that sound you hear is called Cavitation. This is the result of gases being released from two tightly bound joints being separated. Kind of like pulling a suction cup from glass
Q: Can I be injured from a Chiropractic adjustment?
A: Injuries sustained from adjustments are extremely rare. A recent research article reports that the incidence is 1 in 5.45 million adjustments. Compare that to the odds of winning the lottery, being hit by lightning, dying in a car crash, dying from prescription medication, or dying during surgery.
Q: Once I start, do I have to go to the Chiropractor for the rest of my life?
A: That is completely your choice. The fact of the matter is that most patients see the enormous benefits of chiropractic and choose to continue on a maintenance basis after their chief complaint has been eliminated. These patients are the same people who change the oil in their car and brush their teeth daily.
